of the Mui Tsai.

Accordingly, a

European Sub-Inspector of Police has

now been posted to the Chinese Affairs

Department with the sole duty of

inspecting the registered Mui Tsai.

In addition, the Hong Kong Government is propores, to apposite if suitable persons can be found, looking out for two suitable Chinese

ladies to appoint as Inspectors. A

certain amount of inspection is also

already done by the Inspector a

Chinese lady of the Hong Kong Society

for the Protection of Children.

4. Adequate accommodation for all

Mui Tsai who wish to leave their employers

has hitherto been available, and there

appears to be no reason to anticipate

any difficulty in this respect.

During the past twelve months the

Salvation Army has opened a home for

this purpose among others.
